Donate Food (Commodity)
Nutritious food is a basic right, and your in‑kind donation of food items helps underprivileged children, families, and elderly people access regular, dignified meals. By donating food commodities instead of or along with money, you directly fill plates and support community feeding, education support, and relief programs connected to TSRS Foundation.
What you can donate
Non‑perishable staples: Rice, wheat flour/atta, pulses (dal), lentils, millets, poha, suji, oats, and similar grains.
Packed groceries: Edible oil, sugar, salt, tea, spices (in sealed packets), biscuits, ready mixes, and fortified foods.
Hygiene-pack items (optional kits): Soap, sanitary pads, toothpaste, toothbrushes, detergents, etc., to include with ration kits for families.
Please do not donate expired, opened, leaking, badly dented, or unlabelled food packets, or items requiring refrigeration or special handling (unless pre‑approved), as food safety is critical.
How to donate food
Step 1 – Check items and dates: Ensure all items are sealed, properly labelled, and within their “best before” or “use by” date.
Step 2 – Pack securely: Pack commodities in sturdy bags or cartons, grouped by type (e.g., all rice together), to make sorting and distribution easier.
Step 3 – Share your details: Fill our “Donate Food (Commodity)” form with your contact, type of items, approximate quantity, and city.
